Though the dull and clumsy Windows Store has received a makeover in Windows 8.1, it is accessible only through the Store app present in Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. Like Windows Phone Store, Google’s Play Store or Apple’s iTunes Store, you cannot browse the Windows 8 Store from your browser.

However, now Microsoft has changed this by allowing users to browse the official Windows Store from any web browser and from any computer (Windows 7, Windows XP, etc.), which means you can browse and discover thousands of apps and games without the need of Windows 8 or 8.1.
