The Portrait Mode supports both back and front cameras and helps you take crisp and clear photos by blurring the background. The AI scene detection feature on Redmi 7A helps you shoot best possible photos with right color, contrast and light.
To get Portrait Mode and AI Scene Detection on Redmi 7A, users need to update their device to MIUI 10.2.7.0. The OTA update is now available for Redmi 7A variant in India. The update also carries July 2019 security patches, general bug fixes and optimizations.
Redmi 7A is an under sub-10K price segment device and comes packed with Snapdragon 439 Octa-core processor, Adreno 505 GPU, 16GB/32GB storage (expandable up to 256 GB via micro SD card), 2GB/3GB RAM, 5.45-inch HD display, 4,000-mAh battery and Android 9 Pie. The device features 13MP main camera and 5MP front camera.

Installation Guide
- Save the downloaded Recovery ROM zip file on your phone’s internal storage (do not put inside a folder)
- On your phone, go to Settings > About phone > System updates > Menu (3 dots at the top right) > Choose the update package
- Just select the update Zip file you just downloaded to start the installation process
