My favorite use of Google map is for getting driving directions. You can use it for many other purposes, for instance, to explore places around the world, find local businesses and more. Here is a trick to zoom Google map into closer than the default setting allows. However, note that, it doesn’t work everywhere.
Open Google map on your browser and search for a location on the map. After getting the location, click the “chain” button on the left and copy the URL link (not the HTML).
Paste this URL into your browser’s address bar, click anywhere on the URL and hit Enter key on your keyboard to go to the end of the address.
The URL should finish with z=. Increase the number by one (for example, change the value 20 to 21) and hit Enter.
