LeEco starts rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based EUI 5.8.015S operating system to its LeEco Le 2 in India. The new update will upgrade the device from EUI v5.6 to EUI v5.8. As the over-the-air (OTA) update rolling out in phases, it will take several days to get the Marshmallow update on all devices. If you have issues updating your device via OTA, you can download and install LeEco Le 2 EUI 5.8 full OTA file manually.

In this guide, we let you know how to install official LeEco EUI 5.8 (Android Marshmallow) OTA update on Indian LeEco Le 2. Before get start, note that your phone should be on stock ROM, unrooted and stock recovery (not custom recovery like TWRP) to install the OTA update. Also, your Le 2 should be on EUI 5.6.013S to apply the update.

How to Install EUI 5.8 OTA Update on LeEco Le 2 Manually

1. Download EUI 5.8 ROM zip file to your PC [HERE] (1.7GB) and rename it as update.zip.

2. Transfer the update.zip file to your phone’s root of internal memory (not in any folder) and then disconnect your phone from PC.

3. Now, on your phone, start System Update > Menu > Local Update and confirm the installation of the new update.

  11. How can someone install the update if he/she does not have the System Update App??? I have the Leeco Le 2 Pro and a friend has the Leeco Le 2 Max and both do not have the System Update app. Is there any way to install the update without it?
