Facebook has released a new Android app called Facebook Home and available for free download on Play Store for select devices. Facebook Home includes a new lock screen and home screen called Cover Feed, a new app launcher, and a new messenger feature called Chat Heads – all brings a new Facebook experience on mobile devices.

As you may heard, Facebook Home supports only few devices, which includes Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S 4, HTC One X, etc. However, if you’re interested, there is a workaround to install Facebook Home on any other devices (ICS4 and above) as well. No rooting or altering the system files are needed.

An XDA developer theos0o has modified the original Facebook Home APK to work with any device without root access. Here is how to install it.

1. Download the modified Facebook Home APK from this development page. Extract the RAR file, copy and paste facebook.home.apk and facebook.katana.apk to your device’s SD card.

2. Uninstall original Facebook from your device. (If Facebook is pre-installed on your device, then you need root access to remove it)

3. Install both APKs (You may need to enable “Unknown Sources” from Settings – Apps)

4. Run Facebook app and enable Facebook home under Facebook app settings.

Enjoy!
