Huawei P30 and P30 Pro come with traditional navigation bar with three keys on it. You can hide the navigation bar and enable the new gesture navigation on the phone. Similarly, you can hide the dewdrop notch with a black notification bar at the top of the display, if you do not like the notch. Here is how to hide navigation bar and dewdrop notch on Huawei P30 and P30 Pro.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are launched with EMUI 9.1, which is a customized version of Android 9.0 Pie. Instead of Android 9 Pie’s new gesture navigation, both phones come with the traditional navigation bar with Back, Home and Recents keys. You can hide the navigation bar and enable gesture navigation on the phone. Here is how it is.

Hide the Navigation Bar on the Huawei P30/P30 Pro

1. On your phone open Settings and click on System.

2. Select the System Navigation option.

3. Under Three-Key Navigation, click Settings and turn on “Hide Navigation Keys” option. That’s it!

To enable the new gesture navigation on Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, open Settings menu, tap on System > system navigation and then Gestures. You are done!

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro feature a dewdrop notch at top of its large display that houses a camera. Though the dewdrop notch looks awesome and bring full-screen ratio on both phones, some users do not like it on the display. Both phones have an option to hide the dewdrop notch. Here is how it is.

1. On your phone open Settings and click Display.

2. Click More Display Settings and then Notch.

3. Click Hide Notch.

Another feature of Huawei’s phones is customizing navigation bar keys. You can rearrange the navigation keys (Back, Home and Recents) on your P30 and P30 Pro as per your requirement. Here is how it is.

On your phone open settings and click System. Select System Navigation and under Three-Key Navigation click Settings. Now, choose navigation keys order as per your requirement.
