Like to get the new Material design Keyboard from the Android L Developer Preview for your phone, but do not like to root your phone? A standalone Android L keyboard app is now available on Play Store that you can install on any phone running on Android 4 and higher. No root access is required.
The Android L Keyboard is free and without ads. Just install it from Play Store and open your phone Settings, tap on Keyboard or Language & Input option, turn on the Android L Keyboard, then scroll down to the advanced settings and change Color Scheme to “Material”.
The new Material keyboard looks sleek with borderless keys and new colour scheme on your phone, however, the features are identical to your previous Google keyboard.
