Finally, OnePlus released OxygenOS 9.0 (Android 9 Pie stable) for OnePlus 6. This update brings brand new UI, full-screen gesture navigation, Gaming mode 3.0, new DND mode, September 2018 security patch and more to the device. As usual, the OTA update (weighs around 1.5GB) starts rolling out in phases. It will take a few hours or even few days to reach the OTA.

OnePlus is always been quick with rolling out latest update for their flagship devices. For example,iIt has been only a days since the company released the third OxygenOS Open Beta for OnePlus 6, which is based on Android 9 Pie. Now, Android 9 stable version is here (OxygenOS 9.0) and features the following.

Download and Install OxygenOS 9.0 for OnePlus 6

If you have not received the OxygenOS 9.0 OTA notification yet on the device, you can use the Oxygen Updater app to get the update right now without waiting for the OTA.

Alternatively, you can download OxygenOS 9.0 full update package (1.5GB) from OnePlus download section [here] or directly [here] and flash it manually as described below.

Installation Instructions:

1. Download the OxygenOS 9.0 zip file from above link

2. Transfer the downloaded ROM zip file to your phone’s storage.

3. Open the ‘Settings’ app, then go to ‘System updates’, and then tap on the top right corner icon.

4. In the menu, tap on Local upgrade, then choose the upgrade package and then immediately upgrade.

5. System will start the upgrade process. Once done, select Reboot system now. Your phone will reboot into Android 9 Pie. (Source)
