The next major version of Android operating system, Android O (Android 8.0) has already been available as developer preview version for supported devices. The stable build of Android 8.0 will be rolled out this autumn along with next generation Pixel devices. Some smartphone manufactures have already revealed Android O update, such as OnePlus.
