If you own a Nexus 5 or Moto X smartphone, you might have now familiar with its hands-free voice control feature. Google makes this feature available for computer users via ‘Google Voice Search Hotword’ extension for Chrome. This extension allows users to communicate with Google Search without using the keyboard or mouse.

Google’s Voice Search Hotword add-on for Chrome lets you search Google on your PC by speaking questions. After installing the add-on (download link at the end of this post), give Google permission to access your microphone. Then, open Chrome and just say the hot word “Ok Google” followed by a question or search command.
