Bitdefender the well-known computer security software developer has released an Antispam solution for self hosted WordPress blogs.
Spam comments and spam trackbacks are one of the major problems with most blog owners. Of course the WordPress spam filter plug-in Akismet has good detection rate, but most often it marked legitimate comments as spam, which is also a big issue.
Here is a new (experimental) solution for filtering blog comments for spam. The Bitdefender AntiSpam Solution analysis comments through a series of filters and depending on the total score, the comment is categorized as spam or legit.
Interested WordPress blog owners can try out this new anti-spam solution from Bitdefender. Just download, install and activate it. Then enter a valid e-mail in the BitDefender Client ID field.
