The most popular, community-driven custom ROM LineageOS has been updated with a number of new changes and features. Latest version of LineageOS 16 (based on Android Pie) brings brilliant backgrounds, new volume panel, expanded quick settings menu, circle battery indicator, latest security patches and more.
The update also upgrades a number of devices to LineageOS 16 from LineageOS 15.1, such as Huawei Honor 5X, LG G2, Xiaomi Mi 5 and 30 other devices. In addition, there are few new devices in the support list, such as OnePlus 6, Oppo F1, Xiaomi Mi 8, and ZUK Z2 Plus.
The team has also removed few devices from the support list, such as Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Google Nexus 4, Nvidia Shield Tablet, Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and ZTE Axon 7. These devices won’t get official LineageOS update anymore.

- AOSP’s Night Display now controls night mode (on devices with a Snapdragon 820 or later processor)

- Nano has been updated to version 4.2
- Fixed issue were using certain private DNS caused devices to crash thanks to backported fix from Q
- Support for bluetooth SBC DualChannel HD has been added (both 15.1 and 16.0)
- Performance improvements for Eleven (music player app) (both 15.1 and 16.0)
- Updated call recording configurations (both 15.1 and 16.0)
- Call recordings are allowed/disallowed on countries based on law/legal precedents.
- April, May, and June security patches have been merged (both 15.1 and 16.0)
- WebView has been updated to Chromium 74.0.3729.157 (both 15.1 and 16.0)
Download and Installation
The LineageOs 16.0 brings Android 9 Pie and stock features along with several new features and customizations. The latest version brings Dark mode that Google have been preparing for Android Q, Privacy Guard, Trebuchet Launcher with authentication features, new Volume Panel, and many more features.
Interested users can download the LineageOS build from the download portal and flash it via TWRP recovery. For latest devices, users need to sideload the build via ADB. (source)
