Hard drives and SSDs work without any problems for years, but their health and performance should be checked regularly to prevent any data loss due to unexpected failure. There are several applications available for checking hard drive’s health on Windows, here is a new tool called HDDExpert.

HDDExpert is a freeware tool to monitor your hard disk and SSDs health and performance. It checks S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) values of internal ATA/IDE hard disk drives as well as sector errors and then interprets their values. This value gives status of your disk.
