OxygenOS 9.0.6 update improves the unlocking experience and optimizes the standby power consumption on OnePlus 6T. Two weeks ago, the OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.5 update to fix the screen unlocking issue on the OnePlus 6T. The OEM starts rolling out the OOS 9.0.6 update through OTA and it will require few days to complete the roll out.

In addition to improved screen unlocking experience, and optimized standby battery consumption, the OxygenOS 9.0.6 update has also optimizes image processing when taking photos, fixes the issues with no notifications from Play Store, and fixes issues with adding APN on Verizon network.

The update also includes general bug fixes and improvements. OxygenOS 9.0.6 OTA update is live now. If you have not received the OTA update yet, you can download the OxygenOS 9.0.6 incremental OTA update or full OTA update file and flash manually.

How to Install OxygenOS 9.0.6 Update on OnePlus 6T

1. Download the full firmware from here (For global variants) and save it on your phone.

2. Open the ‘Settings’ app.

3. Go to ‘System updates’, tap on the top right corner icon and in the menu, tap on Local upgrade.

4. Choose the upgrade package and then immediately upgrade. System will start the upgrade process and reboot. (Source)
