The dual SIM variant Huawei P20 (EML-L29) in India starts getting a new software update with June 2018 security patch, app recommendation feature in App drawer and more. Android 8.1 Oreo (EMUI 8.1) based B130 update rolling out through OTA (over-the-air). The update comes as EML-L29C636B130 and it will take a few days to complete the roll out.
If you cannot wait for the OTA update, you can also download the firmware and update Huawei P20 to software version 8.1.0.130. Before jump into the manual installation procedure, check for the OTA update manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > check for the new firmware.

Comes to the new firmware update, before installing the update, make sure at least 50% battery charge left on the phone. In addition, this update will not erase your personal data, but it is recommended that you back up any important data before updating.
Manual Installation: Technically talented owners of Huawei P20 can download the EML-L29C636B130 update file and install it manually.
The update is currently available on Huawei servers that you can download (download update zip file) and flash through dload method.
