Update: Realme 2 and Realme C1 get January 2019 security update as ColorOS 5.2. 1. The update includes new Material Design icons, new camera watermark and latest Google security patch (Patch Level: January 5, 2019). ColorOS 5.2.1 OTA update (build RMX1805EX_11.A.23) for both devices is now available for download. You can also download the full firmware to flash it manually.

December 30, 2018: As announced earlier, Realme C1 and Realme 2 start getting the latest ColorOS 5.2 stable update with December 2018 security patches. The OTA update is live now that carries build number RMX1805EX_11.A.21. This is a staged roll out, so it will take few days to complete. You can download ColorOS 5.2 Stable OTA and flash manually.

ColorOS 5.2 Stable update for Realme 2 and Realme C1 comes with several changes and features. You can now dismiss notifications with a single swipe, swipe up to reboot the phone from the shutdown interface, launch Google Assistant by long press the Power button, and more.

The update adds a headset icon in status bar. You can see it when connecting a headset to the phone. The new Smart Bar feature offers faster multi-tasking and app launching. This update removes flashing bar, on-going notification and text at the upper right corner from Developer Options, Accessibility, and Device & Privacy screens.

How to flash ColorOS update on Realme 2 and Realme C1

1. Download and flash ColorOS 5.2 OTA file from above link

2. Copy the package to the root directory of your phone.

3. Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Volume Down and the Power buttons simultaneously until booting into recovery mode.

4. In recovery, select language > From phone storage > Select the ColouOS OTA package > tap OK to install the OTA.

5. Once installation completes, tap Reboot to boot your phone into new ColorOS version.
