Google has implemented several changes on to the lockscreen in Android L. Now swiping upwards will unlock the phone, swiping right on the phone icon takes you to the dialer and swiping left on the camera icon at the bottom will launch the camera app. Android L also supports lockscreen notifications.

Android L Lockscreen

Android L (Lollipop) Lockscreen is a lockscreen replacement app that brings Android L like lockscreen functions on any phones running on Android 4.0 and later OS. It requires no root access for installation.

With this app, you can choose custom background for your lockscreen, swipe up to enter the homescreen (similar to Windows Phone), and blacklist apps from pushing notification on the lockscreen.

Installation Instruction:

You can install the app from Play Store or download the APK from here and install it like a normal app.

Once installed, open it, customize your new lockscreen (background image, notification settings and allowed apps), and tap Enable Android L lock screen.
