If you are a power users and want to test Android 9 Pie beta on your Zenfone Max Pro M2, then here is how to get it right now. If everything goes fine, Asus will start full deployments of the stable Android 9 Pie update in a few weeks for the device.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a mid-ranger launched with stock Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. It was recently received January 2019 security update along with a new ‘AI Camera Scene detect’ camera feature. Android 9 Pie beta for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is available via Beta Power User Program and for Indian users. This program is for early adopters and power users who have knowledge on Android firmware and willingness to provide feedback of testing.
Prerequisites:
1. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 with latest software version
2. IMEI number, Serial Number (SN), current firmware for the beta test setting
3. Familiar with Android operating system, ability to read and provide feedback in English
How to apply for Android Pie beta for ZenFone Max Pro M2
1. Go to this web page to enroll beta program. Agree the terms and conditions.
2. Fill the application form with correct information – Your name, gender, nationality, email, mobile number, phone’s IMIE, serial number and all other required information.
3. Submit the form.
4. If you selected for the beta program, you will receive an email with beta firmware link and SOP document.
NOTE: Once you installed Android 9 Pie beta, you cannot downgrade to lower version, unless beta power users would like to quit the beta user program
