Besides the new polished UI, updated apps and new features, Android 4.4 KitKat introduces major under the hood enhancements that lower the hardware requirements for entry-level devices and speed up performance, so we cannot ignore the chances for getting the new version of Android to some of our mid-range devices.

According to a report by Sammobile, Samsung has a plan to bring KitKat update to devices such as Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fame, and the Galaxy Fresh.

However, keep in mind that just because Samsung is considering the update does not mean the updates will actually come to these devices. Though Galaxy S4 mini has higher chance to get the KitKat, there is not much hope for other devices.
