On Android smartphone and tablet, most often you might want to run two or more apps at the same and switch between these apps to get certain information. This feature is called multitasking, but not available on every Android device. However, there are apps that let you do multitasking on your Android phone and “Search Now” brings a “kind of multitasking” on Android devices.

“Search Now” is a free Play Store app that gives you a new multitasking experience on any phone running on Android 2.3 and above. As its name suggests, it is a search app and you can search internet for information, search for installed apps, contacts, and music, video, calendar and system settings from anywhere on the screen and without leaving the current app.

The app is very simple to use. Once installed it adds a floating search button on your screen. Just touch it to start searching without exiting the current app. You can re-position the search button by just dragging and if you want, you can hide it by just long pressing the button.

It supports major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) and has added features such as ability to show web suggestions when you are typing, searching in Google Map, Play Store and YouTube.

From its settings menu, you can set search engine, search sources and enable or disable search history and floating point and more.

Search Now is certainly a very useful app especially if you want to get certain information from internet or other services while you are on the other app. Interested users head over to Play Store to install the app.
