Yu Yuphoria has received Cyanogen OS 12.1update with a number of enhanced features and bug fixes. The update upgrades your phone to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. As the OTA update is rolled out in phases, it will take few days to reach the update on all devices. Check your Yu Yuphoria for Cyanogen OS 12.1 OTA update by going to Settings -> About phone -> System update.

The Cyanogen OS 12.1 update (YOG4PAS47N) for Yu Yuphoria will fix many bugs found in the previous build. The update will bring better responsiveness, enhanced performance, improved memory optimization to your Yu Yuphoria. It is expected that the update will also fix proximity sensor issue and overheating issue on Yu Yuphoria.

Other new features in Cyanogen OS 12.1:

b) Calendar Together with Email: Enjoy the latest Boxer powered experience where you can seamlessly share your availability and schedule appointments.

c) Cyanogen Browser: The new Cyanogen browser delivers search results and loads web sites faster and more securely than leading browsers.

d) Redesigned Launcher: App Drawer and Folders have been redesigned for one-handed use.

e) Fresh AudioFX: The user interface has been updated for consistency across all devices.

f) More Playback support: Increased support of codecs for video and audio playback.

If you have not received the OTA update for some reasons, you can install it manually by downloading the firmware.

How to Install Cyanogen OS 12.1 on Yu Yuphoria

Note: If you are still on Cyanogen OS 11 and want to upgrade to 12.1 needs to first install 12.0 before flashing 12.1 OTA update. The below method update your phone to Cyanogen OS version 12.1YOG4PAS47N from YNG1TBS2P2.

Flashing Instructions:

1. Download Cyanogen OS 12.1 YOG4PAS47N OTA zip file [HERE] / [HERE] and copy the downloaded files in your phone memory.

2. Reboot phone in to stock recovery mode. To do so, switch off your phone, press volume UP + DOWN together and keeping them pressed power ON your device.

3. In recovery, select ‘Apply update’ (use volume buttons and power button)

4. Select ‘Choose from internal storage’/ ‘Choose from external sdcard’. Then select ‘0/(if internal)’

5. Navigate to the ROM.zip to flash it.

Once the flashing process is finished, go back to the main recovery menu, select the Reboot system now option and wait for the reboot process to complete. (Source – 1, 2)
