Viber Media has released its free VoIP calling app Viber for Windows and Mac OS X, which is already popular on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Now you can make free phone calls and send free text messages to any Viber user right from your desktop PC. However, note that to activate Viber on your desktop you must first have it installed on your mobile device.
The Skype team has introduced a new Video Messaging Preview feature for its desktop version of Skype for Windows 7 and Windows 8. The latest beta version (6.5 Beta) lets users record and send video messages to any of their contacts at any time even when they are offline. The contacts can watch the Video Message next time he or she come online.
