Sony starts rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update (build 47.1.A.3.254) for Xperia XZ Premium with new features. Xperia XZ Premium G8141 variant will receive the OTA (over-the-air) notifications for the official Android 8.0 Oreo update on their phones once it starts. However, since the OTA update is rolled out in phases, it will take a week or more to get the update on all Xperia XZ Premium devices. You can also download and install the update manually.
Xperia XZ Premium is one of the first non-Google devices to get the official Android 8.0 Oreo stable update. Recently, OnePlus rolled out a beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo (OxygenOS OB 25/16) for its OnePlus 3/3T, but the stable Oreo update for the device is not yet announced.

How to Flash Android 8.0 Oreo on Xperia XZ Premium

1. Back up all important data you have on your device.
2. Download Xperia XZ Oreo update file (Oreo G8141 47.1.A.3.254 Commercial and Journalists_1309-9931_47.1.A.3.254_R1B) from here.
3. Switch-off your phone and press Volume Down button and then connect your phone to your Windows PC.
4. Unzip the downloaded firmware file into a folder. Delete the Partition folder from the extracted file, and then add Userdata (download from here) in the unzipped folder.
5. Finally, run the NewFlasher.exe file and wait until the process complete. After successful installation, disconnects your phone from the PC. (Source – 1, 2)
