Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 starts getting the much-awaited MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.7.12 ROM update. MIUI 10 public beta is now available for Qualcomm variant Redmi Note 4 and Note 4X with improved system stability, optimized system performance, June security patch and several bug fixes, including fix for security stops working.
The update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, but you can experience most of the new features of the ROM. Xiaomi starts rolling out the MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.7.12 ROM for Redmi Note 4/4X. MIUI 10 comes with a slew of changes and several features. You can experience Driving mode, full-screen gestures, AI camera Portrait (for enhanced photography experience), AI Preload (will reduce load times for apps and UI functions), new Recents app menu, Mi Smart Home integration, some Android 9.0 goodies and much more.
Note: Keep in mind that this is the beta version of MIUI 10, so it might not free from bugs and may not work as expected. In other words, you cannot use this build as a daily driver.
How to Install MIUI 10 Global Beta on Redmi Note 4/4X
To install this beta build manually, you should first install TWRP custom recovery, so first install TWRP on your device, if you haven’t already.
1. Download MUI 10 8.7.12 Global Beta ROM from here and transfer it on your phone.
2. Boot your phone into TWRP and perform a factory reset
3. Now, flash the ROM zip file by selecting ‘Install’ option.
