OnePlus just released OxygenOS 5.1.7 hot fix update for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T that fixes Bluetooth stability issue reported on OxygenOS 5.1.6. The incremental OTA update, which weighs around 39MB, is now available for download. Download OxygenOS 5.1.7 for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T from the link below and install it manually.
The OxygenOS 5.1.7 hot fix update does not include any major changes, except fix for the stability issue with Bluetooth for cars. The full ROM includes all the changes included in the OxygenOS 5.1.6, such as the Project Treble support, VoLTE for IDEA, October security patch and other bug fixes.
In case you cannot wait for the OTA, we suggest using any VPN app. Set the region to Canada or Germany to get the OTA update early. Please make sure you are on OxygenOS 5.1.6 before updating to 5.1.7.

How to Install OxygenOS 5.1.7 Update for the OnePlus 5/5T
1. Place the downloaded ROM zip file on internal storage.
2. Power off the phone and switch on by pressing Power+ Volume Down button.
3. Phone will boot into Recovery. In recovery, wipe Cache.
4. Now, choose “Install from internal storage”, find your .zip file and flash it. Your device will reboot automatically after installing the OS.
