After being rolled out stable Android 9 Pie (OxygenOS 9.0) update for the OnePlus 6, the Chinese company now starts rolling out Android 9 Pie based OxygenOS Open Beta 4 for the phone. This new update fixes issues with touch, speed dial, call answering and more. OnePlus 6 OxygenOS Open Beta 4 optimizes standby power consumption, as well as includes general bug fixes and optimizations.
OnePlus 6 runs on previous OxygenOS Open Beta 3 will get the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 OTA update soon. If you have not received the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 OTA notification yet on the device, you can use the Oxygen Updater app to get the update right now without waiting for the OTA.
Alternatively, you can download Download OxygenOS Open Beta 4 full OTA update package (1.5GB) from this link or from this link and flash it manually as described below.
# Installation Instructions
1. Download the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 ROM zip file from above link and transfer it your OnePlus 6’s storage.
2. Open the ‘Settings’ app on the phone, then go to ‘System updates’, and then tap on the top right corner icon.
3. In the menu, tap on Local upgrade, then choose the upgrade package and then immediately upgrade.
4. System will start the upgrade process. Once done, select Reboot system now. Your OnePlus 6 will reboot into Android 9 Pie. (Source)
