Though it has been over a week since Xiaomi launched the POCO F1, the phone has gathered greater attention due to its top-notch specs and affordable price. The phone features latest Snapdragon 845 processor, dual camera, notch display, MIUI 9.6, and much more. However, if you are not a great fan of MIUI, then the good news is that Pixel Experience ROM is now available for POCO F1.

A number of custom ROMs are now available for Xiaomi POCO F1. The Pixel Experience ROM brings stock Google Pixel like experience on POCO F1 (code name Beryllium). The AOSP based ROM comes with Gapps (Google apps) and all Pixel stuffs, such as launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation, etc.

How to Install Pixel Experience ROM xiaomi-pocophone-f1

Unfortunately, the ROM is based on Android 8.1 Oreo (not based on the latest Android 9 Pie). If you are interested, below is the step-by-step guide to install Pixel Experience ROM custom ROM on your POCO F1 (Pocophone F1).

The status of the ROM is stable with almost all aspects (list below) are working as expected, except IR camera.

How to Install Pixel Experience ROM on POCO F1

1. Download Pixel Experiance ROM zip file for POCO F1 from development page here.

2. Save the file on your phone and then boot your phone into TWRP (If TWRP not installed follow this guide)

3. In TWRP recovery, select Backup and create a Nandroid backup (recommended).

4. Now, select Wipe and then Advanced Wipe. Select Cache, System and Data partitions to be wiped and then Swipe to Wipe.

5. Go back to return to main menu, then select Install. Navigate to /sdcard, and select the OS .zip package. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the package.

6. Once the installation has finished, return to the main menu, select Reboot, and then System.
