OxygenOS 4.5.7 update for OnePlus 5 was released two days back, but it is paused now due to a gaming stutter issue. The new OxygenOS 4.5.8 update is imminent and all users will get the OxygenOS 4.5.8 OTA update shortly. If you have not updated to OxygenOS 4.5.7, then do not install the update now, instead wait for the OxygenOS 4.5.8 roll out.

OxygenOS 4.5.7 was a major update for OnePlus 5. It includes new features like EIS for 4K video recording and new font, alongside several critical fixes like Wi-Fi connectivity improvements, standby battery enhancements, etc. However, OnePlus has failed to fix the gaming stutter issue in this update.

“We are withdrawing 4.5.7 due to a gaming stutter issue reported from some forum users. Therefore, we are pushing out 4.5.8 instead to resolve this issue ASAP”.

If your OnePlus 5 is already updated to OxygenOS 4.5.7, then you will get the OxygenOS 4.5.8 OTA notification shortly.

Check it manually by going to Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates. If update found, download and install right away. As the OTA update is rolling out in phases it will take few days to get on all devices.

Note: To get the OxygenOS 4.5.8 OTA update early, you can use Opera VPN app (install from Play store)  to download the OTA update. In Opera VPN, change the location to Germany or Canada and check for OTA update.

Update: You can download OxygenOS 4.5.8 full ROM from here and flash manually.

We will update the post with OxygenOS 4.5.8 download link, when it available. (Source – OnePlus)
