Finally, Xiaomi Mi A1 received official LineageOS support. The LOS development team has released first LineageOS 15.1 nightly build for Mi A1 (code-named tissot). Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched under the Android One program and the device has got quick software update in the beginning, but things have changed later. For example, the Chinese company recently released Android 8.1 Oreo with June security patches for the device, but pulled out quickly due to various issues.

How to Flash LineageOS 15.1 on Mi A1

1. Download official LineageOS 15.1 from here (link will be live soon)

2. Download Android 8.1 compatible Gapps zip file from here.

3. Save both zip files on your device.

4. Boot your device into TWRP Recovery mode.

5. In TWRP, select Wipe > Advanced wipe > and wipe your data partition fully.

6. Now, select ‘Install’, choose the ROM zip file and swipe to install it. Also, install Gapps zip file in the same way.
