Update: Realme 3 and 3i starts receiving September 2019 security patch with system stability improvements. The update comes with software build RMX1821EX_11.A.22 and carry fixes for some known issues. Users will receive the OTA update in the coming days or download and flash manually via Recovery.
Realme starts rolling out a minor software update for Realme 3 and the latest entry Realme 3i to improve the stability of the system. Though the new ColorOS 6.0 update does not include August security patches and any major features, it carries some general bug fixes and optimization for system stability.
The OTA update for Realme 3 (RMX1821EX_11.A.20) and Realme 3i (RMX1827EX_11_A.20) is rolling out, which weighs around 100MB in size. Also, Realme posted update for both phones on their software portal, from where you can download the full update file, in case you want to update manually.
Realme 3i is company’s newest launch in the sub-20k price segment. This entry-level mid-range device is comes with Mediatek Helio P60 processor, and features latest ColorOS 6 based on the Android 9 Pie. Realme 3 was launched in March 2019 that came with Mediatek Helio P70 processor and ColorOS 6.
RMX1827EX_11_A.20 is the second software update for Realme 3i after the launch. The first update (RMX1827EX_11_A.19) brought July 2019 security patch and bug fixes. August security update is not yet available for any Realme phones.
As you all know, Realme is the former sub-brand of Oppo and its smartphones are currently running on Oppo’s ColorOS. However, recent development shows that the company is working on its own custom Android version, which may call RealmeOS – something like OxygenOS for OnePlus devices.
