MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 8.1.25 weekly update has been released with new Music app and bug fixes. The update is now live for download and can be installed on all supported devices. As per the release note, besides the music app renovation, the update also fixes a bug found in the call log. Now the call log will start display contacts name instead of contacts number.
The highlight of MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 8.1.25 update is the redesigned Mi Music app – one of the most popular Mi apps. Now, it has a redesigned Homepage with ‘Recent Played’, ‘Favorites’, and ‘My playlists’ in a list view layout. Local music files are also organized by name, artist, and album/folder and can be seen on the bottom area of the homepage.
The Mi Music app also features redesigned Current Queue layout allowing users to have a better experience in managing songs in the Queue list. Besides these features, the update also includes general bug fixes.
Like in the previous build (8.1.18), the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 8.1.25 brings Android 8.0 Oreo to Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi MIX 2. If you are interested, below is the download link and installation guide for all devices.
If the device is already running on the MIUI Global Beta ROM, you will get the new MIUI 9 8.1.25 update via OTA (over-the-air) or manually install it with recovery image. New users can also get this build with Fastboot ROM.
