Xiaomi has already updated Mi A1 and Mi 6 to Android 8.0 Oreo and a few devices have Oreo in the form of beta. By all means there is no chance to get Android Oreo (MIUI 9) update for Xiaomi Mi and Redmi phones launched in 2015 and 2016, but it is expected that Mi 5 will update to Oreo. However, most phones launched in 2017 and 2018 will get the Android Oreo (8.0/8.1) update. Below is a list Xiaomi Mi/Redmi phones expected to receive Android Oreo update in the coming months.

For your information, Google has already released the Android 9.0 P Preview for the Pixel series devices, and the stable build will be released by August or September 2018. However, it will take several months to get the Android 9.0 update on a Xiaomi phone.
