OnePlus team has released another Android 8.1 Oreo based OxygenOS Open Beta update for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The OxygenOS Open Beta 5 and Open Beta 7 include various improvements, bug fixes, optimizations and February 2018 security patch. The update is now rolling out through OTA for beta participants. Non-beta users can download and flash the ROM manually.

Alongside general bug fixes, improvements and other features, OxygenOS Open Beta 7 and Open Beta 5 improves accuracy of current location for weather app, adds recent search tag for app drawer, network priority for gaming App in the foreground, and more.

OxygenOS Open Beta 7 for OnePlus 5 and OxygenOS Open Beta 5 for OnePlus 5T is now avialable for download. You can install the update via stock recovery as described below. Keep in mind that since it is a beta OS, it is possible you will run into bugs and other instabilities.

1. Download Open Beta 7 for OnePlus 5T [here] and Open Beta 5 for OnePlus 5 [here].

2. After downloading the required firmware, follow this installation instruction.
