Samsung started One UI 4.0 beta program for Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 series devices. As you may know, One UI 4.0 is Samsung’s new smartphone user interface based on Android 12. It carries several new features from Samsung and Google, like the new color-theming options and enhanced privacy features. Here is how to install Android 12 based Samsung One UI 4.0 beta on Samsung Galaxy phones.

As per the latest information, Galaxy Note 20 series have also added to the One UI 4.0 beta program. Currently, the beta program is available in the UK for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, and it may soon available in other regions as well. Note that the beta program is limited to a few numbers, and currently, it is available in China, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, and United States.

How to Register for Android 12 Beta on Samsung Galaxy Phones?

To get the Samsung One UI 4.0 beta/Android 12 Beta OTA update on your device, you need to have the Samsung Members app. This app comes preloaded on most Galaxy devices, or you can install it from the Galaxy store or the Google Play store.

Once you get the app, open it, select the One UI Beta Program registration card (see it in the Benefits section of the app) and tap on the Register button to apply for the Android 12 beta program.

How to Install Android 12/One UI 4.0 Beta Update on Galaxy Phones?

Once you register for the One UI 4.0 Beta program via Samsung Members App, you will get an OTA notification once it is ready for you.

If you did not get an update notification, open the Settings menu, go to the Software Update section and check for updates.

You should see the prompt to install One UI 4 on your device.

Important Features in One UI 4.0:

There are many new and improved features in One UI 4.0. One of the cool features of the update may be the Android 12 dynamic color theme. It will change the system color with the dominant color of the wallpaper you choose.

A key privacy feature of this update is the ability to choose between allowing an app to use your precise location or only allowing it to know the general area.

The update also brings improved video calling effects with blur background or color theme or a custom image and many more features.
