Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are the new launches by Xiaomi. These beautifully designed mid-rangers come packed with several features out of the box. A system-wide dark theme is a common feature of the Redmi series smartphones launched recently. Redmi Note 8/8 Pro has also featured a dark mode.
The system-wide dark mode is a feature of Android 10, but Xiaomi deploys it well in Android 9 devices. The dark mode in Redmi Note 8/Note 8 Pro will turn many system apps and system UI elements into a true dark or dark gray from the blinding white, but not all apps are supports.
To enable dark mode in Redmi Note 8/Note 8 Pro, go to Settings > tap on Display > and tap on the Dark Mode toggle to turn on it.
Note that the dark mode won’t turn every apps and elements into the dark. Some apps, for example, WhatsApp, won’t support the dark theme. The good news is that Google has already shifted most of its apps, including the Play Store, into dark mode.
Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are launched with Android 9 (MIUI 10) out of the box. Redmi Note 8 features Snapdragon 665 processor, 48MP quad-camera, 6.3 inches LCD, and 4000 mAh battery, while Note 8 Pro features Mediatek Helio G90T processor, 64MP quad-camera, 4500 mAh battery, 6.53-inch HDR-enabled display, and Amazon Alexa built-in.
