The new Google Pixel 8 series features an improved camera system, AI integration, an all-new Tensor G3 processor, a built-in temperature sensor, helpful features, and more. The new temperature sensor in Pixel 8 Pro (located on the back of the phone, beneath the LED flash) helps you measure the temperature of objects around you. Using the Google Thermometer app, users can easily measure the temperature of anything by pointing their Pixel 8 Pro at an object within 5 centimeters or 2 inches.
Here is how to install the Google Thermometer app (if it is missing on your phone) and measure the temperature of any object or surface using Pixel 8 Pro. The Thermometer app is the core item of the temperature sensor. Without it, you won’t be able to utilize the new thermometer feature of your Pixel 8 Pro. Also, it is an object temperature sensor and not for measuring body temperature.
