This guide let you know how to increase the fingerprint unlock speed on Samsung Galaxy S10 and S20 series devices. The in-screen fingerprint sensor (also known as under-display fingerprint sensor) is the new fancy feature of Android. There are two types of in-screen fingerprint sensors – Optical scanner and Ultrasonic scanner. The budget smartphones utilize the optical-type sensors. High-end smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, etc. uses the ultrasonic sensors.
Samsung Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy S20 series devices use the in-screen fingerprint sensors based on the ultrasonic scanning technology. Ultrasonic tech is comparatively faster than the optical fingerprint scanners and has less error rate. However, still you can speed up unlocking your Galaxy S10 and S20 devices.
Samsung Galaxy S10 users have reported that turning on battery optimization for biometrics increases the unlock speed of the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on their device. You can also try the trick on your Galaxy S10, S10+, S10 5G, Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, Galaxy S20, S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Check the step-by-step guide below.
