Android 4.4 Kitkat won’t play flash videos as few critical APIs have been removed from the OS that flash uses. Even flash equipped browsers like Dolphin or browser add-ons like Phony for Firefox won’t help you. However, there is a simple trick to play flash video on devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and above.

Flash is one of the best ways to stream videos from sites like YouTube and Hulu on your device, but due to security reasons and compatibility issues on devices running Android Jelly Bean and above, Flash Player app has been pulled from the Play Store. However, flash equipped browsers, browser add-ons like Phony for Firefox, and side loading previous versions of flash player allow users to play flash content on their Android devices, but from Android 4.4 KitKat that situation has changed.

How to play flash video on Android 4.4 Kitkat?

1. Download the Dolphin Browser with Jetpack built in (download from Play Store).

Note:  For Android 4.4 Kitkat, Dolphin Jetpack is now included within Dolphin, so users should manually uninstall the Dolphin Jetpack which was previously installed from Google Play. Dolphin Jetpack is necessary to fix compatibility with flash player, such as crash & freeze issue in full screen.

2. Go to your device’s Settings> Securities> Unknown resources and enable installation of apps from unknown sources.

3. Download the hacked flash player (download from here) and install the APK.

4. Make sure that the flash setting in Dolphin Browser is on by going to: Menu>Settings>Web Content>Flash Player. That’s it.

Please note that, as flash player is not officially supported, the speed of loading of flash video may be slow. [Via – XDA]
