In this guide, we show you how to install OxygenOS on Realme 2 Pro. Realme has recently upgraded the device to Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0, but if you are looking for something different on your phone, then you can install the Android Pie-based OxygenOS ported from OnePlus 7 Pro.
Realme 2 Pro is a mid-range device that comes packed with Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor, 8GB/4GB RAM and more. An advantage of the device (for techie users) is that the company officially allows bootloader unlocking on the device. It means you can install custom ROMs like Lineage OS, OxygenOS Remix, etc. in the device.
OxygenOS for Realme 2 Pro is a remix of OxygenOS and ColorOS that ensure stability and performance. You can install this ROM via TWRP after updating your device to ColorOS 6.0.
Requirements:
- Unlocked bootloader
- TWRP recovery installed on the phone (download)
- Update Realme 2 Pro to ColorOS 6.0
Note that the status of the ROM is stable and the only known bug is Fingerprint isn’t working. Since this is the custom ROM, you may experience other bugs also.

How to Install OxygenOS ROM on Realme 2 Pro
- Download latest version of OxygenOS ROM zip file on your phone from this XDA thread.
2. Boot your phone into TWRP (use Volume Down + Power button)
3. In TWRP menu, tap on Backup and create a backup of system, vendor, data and boot
4. Now, return to TWRP menu, tap on Wipe > Advanced Wipe > select Data/ART cache, System, Vendor, data and cache and swipe to wipe.
5. Return to TWRP menu, tap on Install, and select the OxygenOS ROM zip file and swipe to flash it.
6. The process will take around 5 minutes to complete. Once done, boot your device to system.
[Optional] If you want to root on your device, before rebooting to system, reboot your phone to recovery and flash Magisk zip file.
