Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 11 stable update is now available to many devices through OTA. Since it is a staged rollout, users need to wait several days or weeks to get it on their device. If you are impatient and can’t wait for the OTA download notification to arrive, the Downmi app helps you download and install the update manually.
The Downmi app lets you download the latest MIUI 11 update and install it manually. It is easy to use, doesn’t require a computer and no need of unlocked bootloader on the device. The app provides the latest firmware and supports all the Redmi and Xiaomi phones.
Before start downloading and installing MIUI 11 update on your device manually with the Downmi app, ensure more than 50% battery charge remaining on your device.
- Install Downmi app from Play Store (link)
- Open the app > select your device > and select type of ROM (select Global Stable ROM)
- Now, select MIUI 11 ROM version > ensure it is Recovery ROM > and tap on Download.
- Once the download finishes, go to Settings > About phone > System Update > and tap on the logo several times to enable manual update menu.
- Now, tap on the three-dot menu > tap on Select Update package > select the downloaded MIUI 11 ROM > and the Upgrade.
The installation will start, and your device will reboot automatically after finishing the update.
FYI, MIUI 11 is a major software update from Xiaomi, but it doesn’t guarantee you the latest Android 10. Poco F1, Redmi K20, K20 Pro, Mi 9, etc. have upgraded to Android 10, and other supported devices will also get it in the coming months.
