To install the LineageOS 16.0 build on your Galaxy Note 3, you should first replace its stock recovery with TWRP. Download TWRP recovery for your device from here and use Odin or Heimdall method to flash TWRP. You can then sideload LineageOS .zip package via TWRP.

- Download the ROM zip file from this link to your phone
- Boot the phone into TWRP recovery using Home + Power + Volume up button combination after switching off the phone
- Now, select ‘Wipe’ > Advanced wipe > and then wipe data, cache partition and format system
- In TWRP main menu, tap on Advanced and then tap on ADB Sideload
- Connect the phone to your computer, go to ADB folder and open a command window/terminal from there
- In the command prompt execute the below command
adb sideload filename.zip
(windows)
./adb sideload filename.zip
(Mac/Linux)
[Replace ‘filename’ with original file name]
To get Google apps, download Gapps [arm version] and sideload it as described above.
- Once all the files are sideloaded, return to the main TWRP menu, click Reboot button, and then System
Your phone will reboot into LineageOS. If your phone stuck in a bootloop, reboot the phone into TWRP and then wipe cache and dalvik/ART cache. (source)
