August security update is available for Xiaomi Redmi 7 units sold in Indian market. The update comes as MIUI 10.3.6.0 which is now rolling out over the air. You can download OTA update and recovery image for Redmi 7 from below link, in case you want to install it manually.

Redmi 7 was launched in March 2019 with Android 9 Pie. Apart from August 2019 Android security patches, the latest MIUI V10.3.6.0 PFLINXM updates caries option to lock Google contacts in App Lock, minor bug fixes and optimizations. The update will also fix the issue of hands-free call duration don’t display correctly in Game Turbo.

The OTA update is rolling out now and it will take a couple of days to complete. If you aren’t updated your device, you can do it via MIUI system updater app. Alternatively, download the OTA update file (if your device runs on V10.3.3.0) or full recovery image from below links and flash it manually on your phone.
