PatchWall 3.0 is the latest AI TV system for Xiaomi’s smart TV line-ups. Based on Android 9, the update will take your TV experience to the next level with several new features, new content partners, optimizations, and bug fixes. If you don’t have the PatchWall 3.0 on your Xiaomi Mi TV, here’s how to check and get it.
First introduced in 2016, the PatchWall works as a system launcher on top of Android TV OS on Mi smart TV line ups. The new PatchWall 3.0 update features facelift in UI, deeper integration with the newly launched Disney+ Hotstar, new content partners, horizontal scrolling, universal search, live news, kid’s channel, bug fixes, and optimizations.
The PatchWall 3.0 update will get the following Mi Android Smart TVs: Mi TV 4A, Mi TV 4C Pro, Mi TV 4A Pro, Mi TV 4 Pro, Mi TV 4X, and Mi TV 4X Pro.
PatchWall 3.0 will update automatically in the background with Android TV 9 update. If you haven’t got the version 3.0 update yet, follow the below steps.
Get PatchWall 3.0 update on Mi Smart TV
1. Go to the TV Settings > MIUI TV version > and check for the Android 9 update. After the update, PatchWall will get its latest version when you connect the TV to the internet.
2. In case you don’t have the PatchWall 3.0 update, use a different internet connection and then check for the update.
3. If the above methods don’t help, factory reset your Mi TV and then check for the update again.
In short, if you have already received the Android 9 update notification on your TV and installed it, then you don’t do anything. The PatchWall will get an update to the latest version automatically.
