Samsung Galaxy Watch users can now check the battery health using the new self-diagnose feature available with the Samsung Members app. Not just battery status, users can test various other aspects of the Watch with this feature, such as device restart status, touch screen function, wireless charging, sensors working, and many more.

The January 2023 update (GWA3) adds the new Connected device diagnostics feature to the Samsung Members app, which help you to check the proper performance of the Watch. Before checking the battery health of the Samsung Galaxy Watch, users need to update Samsung Members and Galaxy Wearable app to the latest version to get the feature.

If you have connected your wearables, such as the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, to your Galaxy phone, you can utilize the new diagnose feature to test the battery health of the devices.

How to Check Samsung Galaxy Watch Battery Health?

1. Download and install the Galaxy Watch January 2023 (R890XXU1GWA3) update.

2. Next, update Samsung Members and Wearable apps.

3. After installing the updates, open the Members app on your phone and tap the Help tab.

4. Next, tap on the Connected Device Diagnosis button.

5. Select your Watch from the connected devices list, and tap Allow.

6. It will install the new software diagnosis app.

7. Once the installation completes, you can choose the battery status option from the available diagnoses options.

The GWA3 update is available for Galaxy Watch 5 and carries the below changes.

  • New Camera Controller
    • Change zoom on your phone camera remotely by pinching in or out on the screen or rotating the bezel.
  • Samsung Members and self-diagnostic tests:
    • A new “Connected device diagnostics” option helps you check the proper performance of the Galaxy Watch’s battery status, touchscreen function, etc., on the connected phone.
    • Need to update Samsung Members and Galaxy Wearable app to the latest versions for using the ‘Connected device diagnostics’ feature.
  • The update will improve the stability and reliability of the devices.
