The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are the latest launch by Google. As usual, both handsets features latest hardware specifications and latest Android 9 Pie operating system. Google has also included some unique features to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL such as Top Shot, Night Sight and Call Screen. Older Google Pixel 2 and the original Pixel will also get all these new features, but it will take some times for the roll out.

The intriguing features called “Top Shot”, “Night Sight” and “Call Screen” that are exclusive to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL can now be enabled on older phones such as Pixel 2 and the original Pixel, unofficially though. For example, Pixel 3’s camera features “Night Sight” has already been ported for Pixel and non-Pixel phones.

How to get Google-Pixel-3 Top Shot feature for Pixel 2

Other exclusive features of Google’s latest handsets are also available for older phones. For example, you can enjoy ‘Top Shot” feature on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL by installing Pixel 3’s Google Photos app.

The “Top Shot” feature automatically helps you select the best photo from a burst of photos, so you don’t get a photo where people have their eyes closed and are smiling properly.

To get Google’s latest “Top Shot” feature on older Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL all you need to download and sideload the Pixel 3’s Photos app. However, you may need to uninstall your existing Google Photos app update to get install the new Photos app.
