Android 5.0 Lollipop stock Camera app is now available for all Android 4.4+ KitKat phones. You can install this official camera app on most KitKat phones (Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Xperia, Asus, etc.) without root and take surprisingly good pictures without having a cluttered interface to get through.

Depending on your device’s camera resolution, the Android 5.0 Camera app provides different camera resolutions for both back and front camera for photos and video. You can choose 20.7 MP, 15.5 MP, 10.5, 7.9, 1.2, etc. for photos and HD 1080p, 720p and SD 480p for video. In addition, it gives full control over rear and front camera.

The stock Android 5 Lollipop camera app does still feel rather basic, but you can take surprisingly good pictures in a variety of conditions. The app provides auto/ manual exposure, sharp focus and good quality pictures while zooming in, but found minor issues in auto focusing in video mode.

The camera app works well on almost all phones running on Android 4.4+ KitKat including HTC One M8, Desire 816, Asus Zenfone 5, Sony Xperia Z, Xperia Z1c, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3c, Xperia E3, Xperia M2, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S2, Motorola Moto X (2013), etc.

Download the app [HERE], install it just like a normal APK and see how it works. You will see the difference! (Source – XDA)
