Here is how to get Android P’s Markup app (Screenshot editor) on any device. The first developer preview version of Android P has been released for Google Pixel devices. Since then, developer communities are busy porting user- facing features of Android P, such as Screenshot editor (Markup app), revamped Pixel Launcher, etc for older Android versions.

We have already seen Android P’s revamped Pixel Launcher for older Android versions. Now here is how to get Google Markup app on any Android device, thanks to recognized XDA contributor Quinny899. The main use of this app in Android P is for editing screenshot, but you can also use it on other images as well.

Android P

The ported Markup app offers cropping and simple editing for screenshot. Once installed, you can access this app after you take a screenshot by pressing ‘Share’ button and then selecting Markup.

Note: This app only works with ARM64 devices. Check your device’s processor type before installing the app.

How to use Markup app

1. Download ported Markup app APK from here and install it on your device just like a normal APK file.

2. Take a screenshot and tap SHARE button

3. Select Markup from the Share menu

4. Edit the screenshot with the new tool.

For your information, Android P comes with various new features and changes, including support for Notch, Multi-Camera Support, and Indoor Positioning.
