Microsoft has released Windows 11 22H2 Moment 2 update with new features, which include Bing AI Taskbar integration, Phone Link for iOS, tabbed Notepad, screen recording in Snipping tool, and more. The AI-powered Bing search service on the taskbar is one of the cool features of the second major update of Windows 11.
After updating your Windows 11 PC to 22H2 Moment 2 (KB5022913), you will notice that the search box on the taskbar includes a Bing icon, showing the new AI feature. The new AI search box has two components. You can search things (settings, files, apps, etc.) on your system and search on Microsoft Edge right from it.

The new Bing-AI feature on Windows 11 taskbar is a shortcut to Microsoft Edge. When you type a question in the search box, you will not get the answer in the flyout. Instead, Microsoft Edge will open in the Bing Chat experience. In other words, the new AI can not interact with your files and settings. Instead, it acts as a shortcut to the Edge browser.
However, to use the new Bing-AI feature from your Windows 11 taskbar right now, you will request early access to the Bing-AI chatbot. If you do not like the new taskbar search box with Bing, you can replace it with the old search icon or search box with label options.
How to Disable Bing AI Search Box From Windows 11 Taskbar?
1. Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
2. Next, click on the drop-down menu next to Search settings.
3. Select either the Search icon and label or the search icon option.
4. You have replaced the new Bing-AI search with the old search feature on your Windows 11.
Note that even if you switch to the old taskbar search box on Windows 11, you can still access the Bing Chat experience. After entering your question, click the Bing Chat icon on the flyout.
