OnePlus 6 started receiving the new OxygenOS Open Beta 11 with January 2019 security patches. As usual, OnePlus announced the update on the official support forum along with details of new features and improvements. OxygenOS Open Beta 11 for OnePlus 6 is now available for download for manual installation.

OxygenOS Open Beta 11 will brings new features to OnePlus 6. The Messages app now supports landscape mode, more unit options for precipitation, visibility, pressure and other data for the Weather app, etc. are few examples. A similar update for OnePlus 6T can also expect soon. Below is the official changelogs.

Update: OnePlus 6T has also received latest OxygenOS Open Beta 3 update with new features and improvements. The update includes all the features mentioned for OnePlus 6 along with optimized UI for unlocking lockbox for File Manager app.

OnePlus 6 users who have already installed an OxygenOS Open Beta build will receive the new version as a normal OTA update, so check it by going to System update menu. If you would like to move from the stable OxygenOS version to Open Beta, then here is how to install it manually.

– Download OxygenOS Open Beta 11 full OTA firmware from here and Open Beta 3 from here.

– Save the full OTA update zip file on your phone’s storage

– Power down the phone, and then boot it into recovery mode by using Volume Down and Power button combination.

– In recovery, choose “Install from internal storage”, find your .zip file and flash it. Your device will reboot automatically after installing the OS.

NOTE: Once installed the Open Beta build, you will continue receive Open Beta OTA update in place of the official stable update. However, to return to the OxygenOS stable channel, it is necessary to perform a clean installation. It means all your data will lose. (source – OnePlus)
