Good news for LineageOS custom ROM fans! First LineageOS 16 build (unofficial) based on Android 9 Pie is now available for first generation Google Pixel (sailfish) and Pixel XL (marlin). Since this is the very early build of the ROM, do not expect every feature to be fully working, but users can experience some of the best features of stock and LineageOS on their device.
The first generation Google Pixel (sailfish) and Pixel XL (marlin) received official LineageOS support. The development team just released first nightly build of LineageOS 15.1 for both the devices. The popular custom ROM offers a slew of new features, Android 8.1 Oreo, several customization and latest security patches.
First LineageOS 14.1 build for Google Pixel and Pixel XL is now available for download, unofficially though. With unlocked bootloader, you will not be able to use Android Pay on Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone. Unlocking the bootloader of Pixel/Pixel XL will trip the SafetyNet check (a security feature of Android) and Android Pay stops working.
